In 1983 the major part of the largest congr, El Redentor in Caracas, decided to withdraw from the presbytery. Without changing the name Presb, it became, in fact, Pentecostal. Some 60 members of the church did not follow the move and formed a new congr, Principe de Paz. The Presb Church El Redentor went through troubled times but continued to grow and today has two congr and a school functioning in the church building.
