The Reformed Church of France (ERF) believes it is called to express and bear out the unity of all those of different spiritual and theological trends that claim to belong to the Ref tradition. All congr and ministers must subscribe to the Declaration of Faith of 1938. The ERF covers practically the whole of France, except Alsace and Moselle and an area in the east (Pays de Montbéliard), traditionally Luth. It shares many responsibilities, including the theological faculties, with the Lutheran Church and with the other churches who belong to the French Protestant Federation and has an old practice of partnership with the RCath Church in certain fields. Its life is organized on a regional basis (8 regions). The national headquarters are in Paris.
