This church was founded in 1982 by another former minister of the EEPF, Rev. Ferdinand Teura. He had studied at the Pacific College of Theology in Fiji. In the beginning of his ministry in Pueu he had been impressed by a “Youth with a Mission” campaign. After a few years of service he left the EEPF because he disagreed with the church’s leadership and the handling of funds at the local level. He founded, in the early 1990s, the Confederation of Reformed Churches (see above), which he qualified as “a badly needed renewal movement.” He was expelled from this church and created a new one (cf. no. 7). The present pastor of the church, Rev.Arona Temu (another former student of the PTC and pastor of the EEPF), is also the president of the Confederation.
