Formerly known as the General Association of Reformed Congregationalists, the Reformed Congregational Fellowship (RCF) is an association of Congregational ministers and individuals who have taken the Savoy Declaration as the basis of their theology, and the Cambridge Platform as the basis of church polity. The RCF believes itself to be currently the only formally confessional Reformed witness in North America among the Congregationalists. Holding its first meeting in 1995, the RCF at its 2002 meeting further clarified the nature of the organization to be a fellowship of individual Congregationalist ministers and individuals existing and meeting for the purpose of periodic continuing education and fellowship. It intentionally decided at the 2001 meeting, with reaffirmation at the 2002 meeting, to not create a category for membership of churches, nor to perform credentialling functions for ministers or churches. The purposes of the RCF were defined at the 2002 meeting as twofold: (a). to serve as a fellowship of Reformed ministers and other individuals who identify themselves as Congregationalists; (b). to provide continuing education focusing on Reformed distinctives pursuant to the Savoy Declaration and the Cambridge Platform at least annually at its annual meetings. The RCF hopes, by limiting itself to these objectives, to function as a fruitful resource for ministers and other Christians seeking strengthening in the Reformed faith pursuant to historic Congregationalist formulations...
