Dutch immigrants, who belonged to the Reformed Churches–Liberated (cf. Netherlands no. 8), decided in 1965 to establish an agricultural settlement in Brazil. They started to work in the state of Paraná. After some unsuccessful years, the group was dissolved. In 1970 a member of this group, Jan Glas, organized another group with four families in Unaí in the state Minas Gerais in central Brazil. They succeeded in founding the agricultural settlement, Brasolandia, and organized a community. In 1991 the congregation was formally established.
