The division of DongShin and BoSu took place in 1974 (cf. no. 10). BoSu I started a seminary in Sinsuldong under the direction of Choi Sung-Gon.In 1978 the GenAssy of BoSu I adopted a revised constitution. But soon the church passed through turbulent times. For some years, in order to strengthen its numbers, BoSu I had uncritically received pastors from other churches into its fellowship. Some of them had been under the influence of Elder Na Un-Mong, the founder of YongMun movement. Pastor Park Young-Kwan of BoSu regarded the teaching of Elder Na Un-Mong as heresy and opposed him in public debates. When the Assembly of BoSu I named Park Young-Kwan as professor at the seminary, many of the pastors who had recently been received into the church objected. About 60 churches withdrew from BoSu I and entered other denominations individually.
