The second of the three major non- mainline churches was HapDongBoSu (BangBae). When, after the short-lived union of 1980, the three denominations had reestablished themselves, a further split occurred in HapDongBoSu (BangBae). The church divided into HapDongBoSu and SeoCho, which later divided further into BoSuHapDong I (no. 25) and another BoSu group. HapDong-BoSu, under the leadership of Park Byung-Jin and Baek Dong-Sup, sought union with HapDongGaeHyuk (no. 33). Together they formed HapDongBoSu I (no. 29) in 1982. In 1987-1988 an attempt at reunion with HapDong (no. 15) was made but failed. The church joined the ICCC in 1989.
