In 1909 the Presb Church of Korea sent Pastor Han Sok-Po to Japan. He evangelized primarily among Korean students in Tokyo. Since 1915 the Presb Church in Korea has regularly sent pastors to Japan, and as the church in Korea grew stronger, its mission in Japan also increased. As a result congr were founded in all parts of Japan. In 1934 the Korean Christian Church was established. It was forced in 1939 to become part of the Church of Christ in Japan (cf. no. 2) and eventually had to join the Kyodan. After World War II it left the Kyodan and constituted itself as the General Assembly of the Korean Christian Churches in Japan.
