In 1906 the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of the USA (cf. United States no. 3) sent out Minnie Alexander to work with the United Presb (cf. no. 1); she was joined in 1911 by Rev. and Mrs. Ranson. After their language studies they were offered a site for a mission station in Sahiwal District. In the years following 1911 considerable numbers of Chuhras, a group of untouchables, moved into the area. A hospital and several schools were founded by the mission, and churches were planted. Church planting continues today outside the Sahiwal district among untouchables in the Bahawalpur area and among migrants from the villages to the big cities of Multan and Karachi.
