This church was started on May 28, 1978, in Asunción by Rev. Chou Shen Chong, a Taiwanese pastor in Brazil who succeeded in bringing together a number of Taiwanese Presb living in the capital of Paraguay. As the group grew, a church was formally established in 1980. For some time, the congr had the services of a pastor. At present it is led by presbyters and deacons. Though small in numbers, the church has been engaged in relief work among destitute people. The work of this church also extends to Ciudad del Este, at the Brazilian border.
