 Congregations of the Christian Reformed Church in North America have been present in Canada since 1908. However, real growth of this branch of the CRCNA began after World War II, when many Dutch immigrants came to Canada and found a home in this church. Today the Canadian branch of the church is about one fourth of the whole CRCNA. It operates separate agencies for the distinct interests of the Canadian churches. It also participates ecumenically with other Canadian churches through its Canadian offices. A prime example of this has been its cooperation in the Canadian Food Grains Bank, through which churches can distribute excess Canadian production when they have proportional grants from their own sources.
